Rachel Kolisi is the CEO and Co-Founder of the Kolisi Foundation, Managing Director and Businesswoman, as well as the wife to Springbok Captain, Siya Kolisi, whom she has the absolute joy and privilege of raising four wonderful children with. She is also a keynote speaker and part time student at the moment.
Rachel has a longstanding passion to serve individuals and communities across the country, living out the core mission of the Kolisi Foundation: to change the narratives of inequality in South Africa, remembering the one, one by one, along with the incredible partners that have chosen to join hands in this journey.
Born in Mafikeng, raised in Makanda (formerly Grahamstown) which is a small town in the Eastern Cape, and now living between Cape Town and Durban, Rachel has been exposed to an array of realities that have left her feeling challenged in terms of the part we get to play in transforming our nation. This is a challenge that she’s committed to keep stepping up to.
Empowering and encouraging women, while facilitating spaces and conversations for women to discover and unleash their world-changing potential is important to Rachel. Making room for these conversations that are rooted in health, wellness, self-care, responsibility and ownership, has been – and will continue to be – a significant part of Rachel living out her purpose, while working towards leaving the world a better place than what she found it as.
Rachel ultimately strives to lead a meaningful life, using her passion for humanitarian work, her business interests, influence, as well as her commitment to hearing people’s stories, to positively impact the environments that she finds herself in.
