Gender-Based Violence: 16 Ways for 16 Days
In 2022, the Kolisi Foundation created an impactful campaign where we educated our community on 16 ways to activate change, support victims, and call for preventing and eliminating violence against women and girls.
We collaborated with our GBV organisationsm, and our fellow changemakers to communicate effective ways to heal and help. The first step to changing the narrative of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) is understanding GBV.
This is an international conversation. A global call to action. We have to challenge discriminatory attitudes. We must call for improved laws and services to end violence against women and girls – for good.
Support is available for ALL survivors of GBV.
“People think of that being a problem only for a certain section of society, but it’s not. It doesn’t matter whether you’re male or female, black or white, rich or poor. If you’re a human being, then this affects you.” – Siya Kolisi.
We are here to remind you, the survivors, the victims, and the public, that these organisations we work with are fighting the GBV pandemic every single day. They’re doing the groundwork. We’re doing the work. Not just these 16 days but 365 days.
