Kolisi Foundation Connect – Breaking down silos
Connect (v) – “bring together or into contact so that a real or notional link is established.”
This year we hosted our first Kolisi Foundation Connect. This initiative aims to bring different organisations together in one room to connect, share and engage once a month.
Since April 2020, we have crossed paths with incredible organisations working within the areas aligning with our strategic focus areas: Food Security, Gender-Based Violence, and Education & Sports Development. We were soon releasing the need to create opportunities for the various organisations to connect and engage with each other, breaking the boundaries of operating in silos while working towards a more just and equal South Africa.
The Kolisi Foundation Connect was birthed. A room filled with incredible organisations creates the opportunity to learn about each other, from each other and build strong networks amongst each other. Each month, the Kolisi Foundation hosts a Connect with our current collaboration partners. As community builders and NPO organisations, we value the power of collaboration. Working together creates the capacity to serve and further empower the communities within which these organisations operate.
